The Personnel Board consists of three members, appointed by Council, and serving four-year terms. The functions of the board include:
Hearing of appeals submitted by any person in the competitive service relative to any disciplinary action, dismissal, demotion, interpretation or alleged violation of this article or the personnel rules, and to certify its findings and recommendations as provided in the personnel system rules.
Upon its own motion, or when requested by the City Manager, investigation and recommendations on any matter of personnel policy.
