The Department of General Plan Administration within the City Manager's Office is responsible for the leadership and management of the community effort to prepare and implement the Petaluma 2025 General Plan, and to manage implementation projects. 


General Plan Mission Statement

To insure that the General Plan embodies the community's vision of a Petaluma that will endure for the following generations as a great place to be, live, and/or work, and that our natural surroundings and quality of life are sustained as a defining aspect of our community.

LATEST NEWS: The Final General Plan 2025 has been completed and is scheduled for adoption at the May 19th City Council meeting.
