large picnic This 7.66 acre park includes the Cavanagh Recreation Center, Cavanagh Pool, McNear Community Garden, and the various features listed below.

Groups of 20 or more require a reservation. .

  • Dog Run Area (on the athletic fields only). See Dog Run Map for specific off-leash hours.

  • Picnic Areas
    Two reservable areas in addition to first come-first serve areas.
    Area #1 includes seating for up to 100, BBQ, and serving tables. ADA Accessible. (corner of F St & 11th St)
    Area #2 includes seating for 35-40. (corner of G St & 11th St)
  • Playground
    Includes tot area, school-age area, and swingsets (including tot swing).
  • Restroom
  • Softball/Baseball (reservable)
  • Tennis
    Open to the public other than when Department Programs are in operation.
