Transit Fares and Transfers

Exact Change
Drivers do not make change. Passengers must deposit exact fare in the fare box. Dollar bills are also accepted in the fare box. Please be ready to deposit the exact fare when you board the bus.

Petaluma Transit pass may be purchased in the Finance Department at City Hall, Lucchesi Community Center or through the mail using transit pass envelopes on board each bus. |

Transfers
Free transfers with paid fare for connections with other Petaluma Transit routes are issued at time of boarding only and honored at four valid transfer points to complete a one-way trip not served by a single route. These four transfer points are:
- Ellis and East Washington
- Petaluma Plaza
- 4th and "C" Streets
- Washington Square
Transfer must be used within one hour or on the first connecting bus. Transfers from other transit systems within Sonoma County connecting with Petaluma Transit are worth ten cents (10¢). Transfers between Golden Gate transit are worth $1.00
