Welcome to Petaluma Transit, a Community Based Transit Service working to meet the public transit needs of the citizens of Petaluma. Operated by the City of Petaluma, Petaluma Transit is a division of the Department of Public Works & Utilities. Services include fixed route and paratransit services, both operating generally within the Petaluma City limits.
The City of Petaluma utilizes a transit service contractor to operate and maintain the buses. MV Transportation is the contractor for both fixed route & paratransit service.
Petaluma Transit schedules are available on buses, this website, at City Hall, Lucchesi Community Center, and the Public Library and various locations throughout Petaluma. All buses carry our schedules, or you may request one by telephone at 707.778.4460. Petaluma Transit passes may be purchased at various locations around Petaluma. Click here for a list of sales locations. Fixed-route hours are Monday through Friday, 6:20 A.M. to 7:15 P.M. Saturday, 7:20 A.M. to 5:45 P.M. Sunday, 8:20 A.M. to 4:45 P.M.
