Welcome to Petaluma Transit, a Community Based Transit Service working to meet the public transit needs of the citizens of Petaluma. Operated by the City of Petaluma, Petaluma Transit is a division of the Department of Public Works. Services include fixed route and para-transit services, both operating within the Petaluma City limits.

The City of Petaluma utilizes transit service contractors to operate and maintain the buses. MV Transportation is the contractor for the fixed route service. Petaluma People's Services Center is the contractor for the ADA compliant paratransit service.

Petaluma Transit schedules are available on buses, this website, at City Hall, Lucchesi Community Center, and the Public Library and various locations throughout Petaluma. All buses carry our schedules, or you may request one by telephone at 707.778.4460. A Petaluma Transit pass may be purchased at the Finance Department at City Hall, Lucchesi Community Center, Petaluma City Schools Admin Office (200 Douglas St.) or through the mail using transit pass envelopes on board each bus. Fixed-route hours are Monday through Friday, 6:15 A.M. to 6:45 P.M. and Saturday, 9:05A.M. to 5:17 P.M. For more information, call 707.778.4460. Fare is $1.00 per trip.
